Bad Property Management

Hastings Council Say No84 is Known as Dangerous Property. Refuse tenant bond deposit. Yet withdraw and close repair order on house to landlord.

I am absolutely furious that the council have played cat and mouse, and have risked health and safety of tenants in the building,including children and elderly while closing down the repair order on the landlord.

I found out the other day that last year when I was getting the landlord through court the council would not give a deposit bond for the upstairs flat as they told the prospective tenant that they knew it was dangerous because of all my single expert surveyor reports and electrical condition report. And yet, the council last year in 2013 cancelled and withdrew their order on my landlord to repair the property and complete disrepair orders after they received my surveyor’s reports and electrical condition report.

The council have opened and closed the cases of No84 severe disrepair and tenants concerns and complaints over and over again. They have allowed my landlords Patrick and Daniel Hanlon, and property agents Oakfield P.M. to persuade them they have done repair when they have not. The council kept closing the cases.

When tenant found she could not get bond deposit from council, she went back to Oakfield who refused to give her her upfront rent money back or admin fee.  They produced a report and council gave bond deposit. Yet since tenant moved in it is obvious it has severe damp, water damage, corrosive walls, vermin, rats, mold mites and black mold.

Yet wont let tenant move out, unless she pays them £1000 in “We Will Let You Leave” charge and admin charge.

It is called extortion and holding people captive in unfit property against their will.

I am astounded and furious that council refused to back me in taking an investigation and prosecution forward when I gave them the surveyor’s report and electrical condition report. Closed the case and repair order for No84. Yet kept reports and information to refuse bonds for the property knowing it was dangerous and unfit.

I think Hastings Council and Environmental Health is Unfit. Should be looking after and ensuring public health and people’s safety not covering up for bad property and rogue landlords.

Well Done Hastings Council. I am ASHAMED of you. Why do people and businesses not come to Hastings? I do not know.I have not got a clue. Your reputation and  form goes before you.
