2007 – A SIMPLE PARCEL
There was an incident of a parcel for a relative of Mr Hanlon being delivered to our address by mistake. We (all tenants) assumed it was something Mr Hanlon knew about. As it was there a few days we took it on ourselves to phone Roost properties and inform them it was still here. I was not there, but Tracy and Miss W elderly neighbour were surprised and shocked that when he came round Mr Hanlon did not thank them but tore into them. Blaming them for the mistake. It was so terrible that Miss W mentioned it the other day. Several years on and she is still affected by the shock of it. It stayed on her mind. We found out quickly that bringing up tenants issues and problems often brought abuse and intimidation. We learnt not to do it and became timid and scared. The feeling being. If you kept your head low and mouth shut you would not be hurt or threatened with eviction. Tracy decided to move out as she felt unsafe for herself and her family.

Similar injury OUCH!

Similar injury OUCH!

In September 2007 I severely injured my left arm going through a window at work. I severed an artery, two tendons and a nerve. It was very bad, I lost over 4 pints of blood and had to have major surgery the following day up at East Grinstead. The repair was partial. The surgeons said I had to be very careful and not move it. It was encased in plaster and secured in a stiff upright position. It was very painful. And I was told I could lose the use of it if it did not heal properly. I was on very high pain meds and sedation. I was sent home as it was day surgery.

Told to keep arm elevated. DO NOT MOVE IT!! It may not heal and you may lose function.
I was in Real Great PAIN!!

I Had to Keep Arm Elevated and Very Still

I Had to Keep Arm Elevated and Very Still

Even so. When I got home and struggling the following day Mark Youngman ordered me to move things and big boxes from the corridor which were placed there as my car was full of blood (I had to drive myself to hospital as my manager was not reacting quickly enough) I was very sedated and in pain and just post surgery for an injury that could be undone and permanent if moved. Still Mark Youngman sadistically said he did not care and I had to move things “Or else.” the words “I DON’T CARE!!” were said. Again the threat of no home. I was in tears and distress and in incredible pain as I slowly had to take the raised splintered severed arm, just post surgery out of the raised sling and moved it down to move the boxes. It was so cruel, and he stood there. So incredibly cruel. So I moved the boxes. My arm has not healed and I have a permanent semi paralysis and severed tendons and nerve in that arm causing pain, loss of use of part of hand and fingers, it locks in painful paralysis and if knocked or grabbed is incredibly painful.

“I DON’T CARE!”

I DON'T CARE! says Mr Youngman

I really cannot understand the insensitivity and outright sadism and cruelty. But it has affected me permanently. It again made me unable to stand up for myself and make sure I am safe without being under threat. I just went to bed and stayed there. In pain and no comfort and only cruelty and pain around me. This really wore me down and destroyed me. There is no respect for any disability, vulnerability or female or victim of abuse or disabled. In fact it is often used against us and was so with me countless times.

WHY?

WHY?

A British Study showed that adults with a disability or clear injury are more likely to suffer abuse and “hate” crime.

British study: Disabled adults more likely to be victims of violence

Adults with disabilities are more likely to be victims of violence than adults who are not disabled, according to a new study published online in The Lancet.

I found the landlord and his property manager quite sadistic and cruel. There was no mercy and no one supported for protected me. I do not know anything about “Hate Crime.” I think it was downright cruelty by people who like to be sadistic and like to take any opportunity.

DISABILITY HATE CRIME
